• The Ministry of Foreign Affairs -

    Government of Liberia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia is the central authority overseeing the nation’s international relations, foreign policy formulation, and diplomatic engagement. As the oldest and one of the most strategic ministries in Liberia, it carries the enduring responsibility of safeguarding national sovereignty, promoting peace, and advancing the country's long-term development interests abroad. In addition to representing Liberia at global forums, the Ministry plays a key role in facilitating bilateral and multilateral cooperation agreements and managing the country’s relationships with foreign governments, international organizations, and development institutions.

The Ministry also houses critical diplomatic units, including the Office of the Special Envoy for U.S. Trade and Investment, which advances Liberia’s foreign economic diplomacy. Through active policy coordination, diplomatic representation, regional integration, and international partnership-building, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs drives Liberia’s global presence, supports the attraction of foreign direct investment, and strengthens Liberia’s role in shaping a secure, inclusive, and rules-based international order.
