Ambassador Isaac Taggart, Liberia’s Special Envoy for U.S. Trade & Investment, recently led a pivotal engagement with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's U.S.–Africa Business Center. This high-level meeting brought together the U.S.–Africa Business Center’s leadership, H.E. President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., key Liberian government officials, and business leaders, spotlighting strategic sectors such as mining, energy, agriculture, tourism, and manufacturing.
The session underscored Liberia’s readiness for Public–Private Partnerships (PPPs) and highlighted alignment with President Joseph Boakai’s ARREST Agenda — Agriculture, Roads, Rule of Law, Education, Sanitation, and Tourism — as the framework guiding sustainable investment.
This initiative lays the groundwork for the upcoming U.S.–Liberia Partnership Dialogue (October 6–8, 2025) in Washington, D.C., featuring a high-impact private sector session on October 8 at the U.S. Chamber. There, a Government of Liberia delegation will formalize new investment commitments through MOUs, Letters of Intent, and PPP agreements.
This growing partnership showcases a shared commitment to unlock economic opportunities and promote enduring growth for both nations.
